The hat.Self-proclaimed artist Tanja currently lives in Amsterdam with her feisty white dog.

At age 30 she wants to become an illustrator when she grows up.

Apart from drawing and making mini-badges she also likes to make machines do stuff they normally wouldn't and crochet (and sometimes even knit) things, especially hats and armwarmers.

Due to a genetic disorder with an extreme high risk of untreatable difuse (=starting in several places at once) stomach-cancer she chose to have her entire stomach removed in june 2008 to eliminate any chance of stomach-cancer. Straight after surgery this proved the right decision as research showed early stages of cancer in several places of the stomach. Recovery may take up to a year, or even longer, so currently she spends a lot of time learning to enjoy her toddler-sized meals many times per day and dealing with the complications that make recovery harder; such as her rheumatoid arthritis and her vitamin B12 deficiency.
As a long time needle-fobic person she decided to overcome her fear and now injects herself with vitamin B12, feeling very hardcore about that specific act. She also recently started injecting methotrexate (an anti rheumatoid arthritis medicin) which resulted in a one-time two shots at once event. She won't repeat that any time soon.
Tanja has email as well, and if you want you can send her one at "tannie" at this domain. (spam bad mmkay?)
