A while back I wrote about snoozing and deferring tasks in OmniFocus and Dan’s scripts. He has since added two more scripts, to move tasks to today and tomorrow quickly. Sometimes I don’t check my task-list for a few days (for whatever reason) and then I may *cough* have tons of overdue items. These two scripts easily let me put them on the right day, either today or tomorrow, and helps me clean up fast.
I’ve set up the same shortcut keys in Fastscripts.
Today I’ve also edited my task-list. I had too many things on them and felt overwhelmed. After listening to one of Michael Nobbs’ audioboo in which he mentioned his three things to do list and the twenty minute trick (I go for fifteen), and also mentioned that once something becomes a habit he just does it and doesn’t add it to the list anymore, I decided to remove a few items that I know I do anyway. It looks much smaller and much easier to manage.
I might actually go and do something today…

Over the years I’ve collected software (for my Mac) that I use on a daily basis and wouldn’t want to live without. Sure I could find alternatives, but these programs suit me the most. I often pay for software, something some of my friends find ridiculous :)
I’ll happily pay a hardworking person for their work, especially if their work makes my live easier. Before I buy software I check it out thoroughly, which includes not only the software itself but also its help-function/support, the update policy (when to pay for the next update) and how much I’ll get ‘locked in’. I don’t like getting locked in and choose applications that allow me to export to a sensible format.
I also look for something that supports Applescript, because with Applescript I can do thinks more smoothly. I love it when I can script repetitive tasks, and I very much like using shortcut keys instead of a mouse.

The most interesting thing just happened. My mouse-pointer stopped working. I rebooted, and it wouldn’t move until I turned on mouse-keys and moved it around with the keyboard. Clearly some wire broke or gave up.
Yet another sign my iBook needs replacement, but as of yet, no money in the MacBook-fund.
I can manage without a trackpad, right? :)

I don’t do anything for Valentines Day. If I feel the need to do something special, I just do it, I don’t wait until that one day per year. Boyfriend and I joked about it and he spent most of the day on his knees with another guy, getting all hot and sweaty while filming it.
Anyway, after he finished that and cleaned up the mess, he gave me a gift. My very own cordless screwdriver! Guess who’ll put her Ikea-things together with it from now on. :D
For those of you who consider this very unromantic, too bad! I love it! Had he brought me a bunch of roses I’d have smacked him on the head with it. Pretty painful with those thorns and such.

Let’s all keep our organs intact this year, mmkay?
And yes, that means you can’t play with my organ-jar!
(I don’t draw stomachs very well)
