I've tweaked and fiddled a bit, and now have a satisfying version of my website for mobile browsers. It all should just work, with a link to the full site on the top right should you prefer that.
I still want to tweak the layout, the pages list only shows up at the home-page, where it maybe should show up everywhere—navigation matters. Also the search box shows up at the bottom, but maybe I should move it to the top.
I've added the little snowman to the home-page at least, to sync it with the main site's design.
I have also tried to keep it small. It currently loads at a 135kb for the main-page. Looking into making it less KB (the full version consists of 1MB of files, also trying to make it smaller). Just because a lot of us have fancy speedy connections doesn't mean I should aim for that. I aim for the average speed and hope it doesn't take too long to load either page.

My mom commented recently about how many digital cameras I have. I have my trusty Canon Powershot A620, an older Canon Ixus 400 and a Minolta Dimage 5, plus ofcourse the Sony Ericsson K810i phone and my iPhone. She didn't notice The Other Cameras, all analogue. I have two Lomo LCA's (one old, it says 'USSR' and a newer one) with a macro, tunnelvision and fisheye lens and a colour-flash, a transparent actionsampler, a pop9, an orange supersampler, a Polaroid 600 and a Polaroid i-zone. I may still have forgotten some (my Kodak Brownie comes to mind). One might say I have too many cameras, and I cannot disagree there.
I loved and love making photos, of ordinary stuff, of strange things, of my dog. I'll make functional photos (of my garden) but I have a thing for the randomness of just shooting (the Lomo-philosophy, basically). Buying film and having it developed and cross-processed and all costs a lot of money (not to mention the nasty chemicals). As my main camera I've used a digital one since around 2002 (had one before, but didn't mainly use it), which has that 'instant' effect that I love.
I've also absolutely loved my phone's camera, despite its lack in quality, or perhaps because of that. On my trip through Europe, years ago, I snapped a bunch of photos with my phone-camera and send them as a collage on a postcard.
Yesterday I browsed around and looked for a few iPhone-apps that would satisfy my 'funky' need. I had already downloaded and used QuadCamera which reminded me of my old actionsampler (and the supersampler). I also found CameraBag to add some effects to photos (some vignetting, adjustment in colour etc) as well as CameraKit. And ofcourse several Polaraid Apps of which I currently like ShakeItPhoto the most.
The part of me that enjoyed my analogue cameras so much has awoken and bounces up and down, left and right, off the walls. I wonder how much sleep I'll get tonight...

Over the weekend I planted some seeds for plants I eventually want to plant outside on my balcony. I started out with courgette (zucchini), sage, thyme, rosemary, Tropaeolum, mustard and several types of beans.
Some have already started germination, even the tiny thymeseeds start to look green. Others, not so much yet. Patience....

Today at work we received a visit from the fire department and two of their trucks. I got to spray a hose while the firewoman stood behind me to make sure I wouldn't tip over (hehe).
We also went onto the ladder, the kind with wich they get people from burning buildings. We went up to roughly 25 metres (of the 35 possible) and then my fear of heights kicked in and I asked them to stop.
And now I feel annoyed because, damn, 35 metres, I could have done that! So, next time, all the way up.

In an attempt to make my site more iPhone-friendly (and other phone-browsers) I installed MobilePress. It seems to work very nicely, displaying the last five posts and offering a link at the bottom for the full version.
Images also get displayed nicely, and you can even leave comments. Comments don't display automatically, you'll have to tap the link.

One knitted armwarmer, lonely. Will make another one, still experimenting. Nice and warm and fluffy! What more could I want?

Just a test to see if I can post from my phone. I will remove this :-) (or not. Check out the pretty mushrooms. Wonder if they became illegal on the 1st with the mushroom-ban)
